Welcome to the official page for the 2011 Child Care Workshop! It is the only event focused on child care options for infants, toddlers and preschoolers in Houston. With so many options, parents can feel overwhelmed with making the right decision. 

Meet the Host
Shenequa Aranda, Founder and CEO of Premier Baby Planning has a passion for educating parents. As a consultant to expecting and new parents, and as a full-time working mom herself, Sheneq understands the challenges of finding the right child care. Sheneq brainstormed the child care workshop after countless calls from parents who wanted information and her advice on how to make the right decision. Sheneq believes that each family has to find the perfect fit that works within their personal beliefs, budget, and lifestyle. Attend one or both of our workshops for invaluable information regarding one of the most important decisions parents make.
  
Meet the Experts

Two-session workshop including, Choosing Quality Child Care and Preparing for Preschool.

Choosing Quality Child Care will be presented byDeborah Bradford, Collaborative for Children Parent Engagement Manager, from 2pm to 3:25pm. “Will my child be safe? How much attention will my child get? Who can I trust?” These questions and many others make choosing child care among the most important, intimidating decisions you'll ever make as a parent. Collaborative for Children has been the “go-to” free, not-for-profit child care resource and referral for South Texas families for over two decades. You will be equipped with tools, tips and answers by Deborah Bradford, Collaborative for Children’s Parent Engagement Projects Manager, who brings to this event over 35 years as a nationally certified child care resource and referral specialist, parent educator and work/life seminar facilitator.

 Preparing for Preschool will be presented by Shakti Dalal of Excel Educational Consulting LLC, from 3:35 to 5pm. Learn about preschool options (Montessori, traditional), when to apply, how to find the best solution for your child, and more. Shakti is a mom, former educator and school administrator who now educates parents on how to find the ideal solution for their family. The preschool admissions process is complex. You will be empowered with a sense of direction as to which type of school to consider, when to begin the process, and why the search for the right school is key.

Non-cardholders only pay $5 per session if purchased online. All online sign-ups receive an additional raffle ticket. $10 per session at the door.
